Sentrim Amboseli Camp

Sentrim Amboseli Camp is a semi-luxury safari camp located right near the border of the Amboseli National Park in Kenya’s southern safari region. Just outside the Park’s Kimana Gate, Sentrim Amboseli Lodge offers moderate amenities and comfortable, classic accommodations surrounded by a wilderness wonder and incredible wildlife.

Guests are welcomed with a freshwater fountain and a friendly smile followed by an easy check-in with the option to relax in a small sitting area before heading to their tented accommodation or one of the two family cottages on the property.

The dining area is set on a stone-paved floor, under a large round beam and thatched roof, and delicious meals are presented daily. Guests can choose to enjoy a drink at the cozy bar or perhaps around the large swimming pool, equipped with sunbeds and surrounded by green grass and a grassy, tree-filled border just beyond that.

 There are barbeque facilities available and for those looking to keep fit while on safari, there is a gym on site. Guests have the option to laze in the jacuzzi and the option to indulge in a spa treatment if guests would like. There is a small gift shop promoting local souvenirs, creative and colorful and just perfect to catch one’s eye.

Location

Sentrim Amboseli Camp is located right near the border of the Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya. The closest gate is the Kimana gate, with the nearest airstrip, Amboseli Airstrip, located around 11 miles away from the Lodge. Guests can fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport enjoying a 30-minute flight, or a four-hour drive from the country’s Capital.

Room/Tents

60 Luxury Tents and two Family Cottages are laid out on the grounds of the Sentrim Amboseli Camp, offering a semi-private stay amid tranquil, natural gardens. Accommodation can be made up of a double twin or triple room, all wooden beds simply laid out on a canvas floor, a small table and chairs located in one corner and a neat sitting area set up on a little verandah. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom comprising a shower, toilet, and sink. Colorful artwork behind the beds and the Maasai tablecloths contrast perfectly with the khaki canvas walls and ceiling. The cottages are quaint and comfortable and equipped with all the tents containing a private verandah for the whole family to enjoy.

Places Of Interest

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the most popular activities for all guests staying at Sentrim Amboseli Camp. A chance to spot the “Big Five” and many more in the beautiful Amboseli National Park, known for its incredible herds of elephants and breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Guided bush walks offer a different perspective on a safari experience, as does a Hot Air Balloon ride, soaring above the picturesque wilderness of Amboseli. Guests can visit a Maasai village to learn about customs and culture and how it influences their day-to-day lifestyle. The Elephant Research Camp is a 10-minute drive away from the Sentrim Amboseli Camp.
